August
Specified Assessment Authors are encouraged to write about LD/ADHD specific assessment areas, as well as other assessment topics of interest such as neuropsychology, risk assessment, personality and general cognitive functioning, forensic evaluations (e.g., competency; sanity; parental fitness), and therapeutic assessment. As assessment practices continually evolve, members may wish to address reflections on unique and complex issues, ethical dilemmas, or general impressions about psychological assessments. All relevant themes are welcome in the August issue.
October
American Psychological Association Conference Authors are encouraged to share their personal experiences/opinions of the 2017 APA conference
(Aug. 3-7 in Washington, DC), presentations they held or were a part of, editorials around future of APA conferences with researched options for changing in the future. We want to highlight CPA’s involvement and representation at APA and inform those unable to attend.
December
Future of the Field In the Future of the Field issue, we are looking for fresh perspectives on potential impacts on our profession of the changing healthcare landscape (e.g., move towards more integrated care models; shifts in the state's Medicaid capitation payment structure), the evolution of technological interventions (Skype/teletherapy), and broader awareness of the need for trauma-sensitive approaches, for example.
