About Sheryl Bridges and Terry Cipoletti

Sheryl Bridges is a member at Caplan & Earnest who specializes in healthcare law. She obtained her Juris Doctor in 2006 from what is now called the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University and has been licensed and practicing in Colorado since 2007. Sheryl's practice focuses on the representation of health care professionals before their licensing bodies. Sheryl is skilled at mediating, negotiating, and taking her cases to hearing when necessary. Sheryl also has extensive litigation and counseling experience, which includes representation of her clients in state and federal courts, in the appellate courts, and in arbitration for matters involving medical malpractice, contractual disputes, and other civil claims.In addition, Sheryl provides her clients with general counsel services to assist with practice issues, which includes helping her clients respond to subpoenas and employee complaints, providing assistance to navigate privacy and HIPAA considerations, and advising on how new legislation might impact her clients' practices. Sheryl has been named to the Colorado Super Lawyers list multiple times, and was also named among the Top 50 Women Lawyers in 2023 and 2024. Sheryl is an interviewer for the University of Colorado School of Medicine Admissions Committee and serves as a mentor in the Colorado Bar Association's Attorney Mentoring Program.

Terry Cipoletti obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1999 and became licensed to practice in Colorado that same year. Mr. Cipoletti specializes in health law having represented healthcare providers, hospitals, private practices, non-profit clinics, mental health and behavioral health entities, correctional healthcare providers, dental companies, medical device and pharmaceutical companies, senior care, skilled nursing, and long-term care entities. Since 1999, Terry has defended individuals and entities on a wide variety of claims in Colorado state and federal courts, at the trial and appellate level. He has represented clients in investigations and complaints before government agencies and boards. For more than 20 years he has focused on health law, defending, and advising health care professionals in litigation and regulatory matters. For the past 10 years, he has developed a particular focus on Privacy and Data Security law and HIPAA Breach Response, Risk Assessment, Training. He has been recognized as a Colorado Super Lawyer in Health Care Law every year since 2020. He has served on executive and management committees in addition to boards of directors, and as a mentor to new attorneys through the Colorado Attorney Mentor Program.
