Call for Presenters

CPA is seeking presenters for the upcoming year. If you are interested in presenting, please find a questionnaire/survey below for you to enter your information and rank order your preferred month and topic for the 2023 year. Your preferences will be reviewed and assignments will be made with your top selections in mind.

Our goal is to establish these commitments ahead of time so that everyone has enough time to prepare and so that members may get a "save the date" on their calendars. What a great way to build up your resume while also providing a great service to your professional community!

Here are some Q&As to help you understand the process:

Q: What is the timeline that will be required of me?
A: The CPA president and board must approve the topic you are presenting, which includes the time to review the presentation content to ensure that it meets APA's standards for continuing education. This will occur approximately 3 months before the presentation will occur. CE requirements are due 2 months before the scheduled presentation. CPA wants to make sure we have plenty of time to advertise your presentation so that there is a good turnout.

Q: What is required to do a presentation for CPA?
A: We ask that you provide a biography, a CV (demonstrating expertise in the content area), complete the requirements to be CE approved, and create a powerpoint presentation.

Q: What do I need to do to get my presentation CE approved?
A: You must have at least 3 learning objectives, and 3 peer-reviewed, scholarly articles/citations within the last five years (and relevant) citations, and a quiz.

Q: How much time will I need to commit to this?
A: This depends on if you have a powerpoint presentation already created. At the minimum, it will require approximately 2 hours of your time (one hour to meet with Civica Management to do a run-through and another hour to present the material).
